Happy New Year :D

Posted in Uncategorized on 31/12/2009 by susu

last post of the year … and yes im not starting off this post with the usual “to be frank”

it’s cause im making this quick since im about to go off to a new years party

so first things first .. i hope everyone has a lovely new years eve and day .. hope that twenty-ten will bring out its best for all of us

anyways that’s it for the new years related stuff.. ill try to make the posts for 2010 much more interesting and prolly update more often

so now with that said i wanna speak about the awesome siddharth, since i haven’t done so far a long long long time :p

so his new upcoming movie, Striker, directed by the underrated Chandan Arora finally has a release date

its coming sometime in February ‘10(forgive me for forgetting the exact date but its up in wiki … so you can check out the date and other info there as well).

After watching the trailer, i have to say that i’m even more pumped up about the film. Im pretty sure it’ll be a hit in no time with its unique plot (or at least unique to bollywood) and that its a siddharth film. His charisma certainly will attract more audience for the film.

anyways, im pretty sure i’ve mentioned the siddharth fansite a while ago..

if i haven’t then excuse me for my failure of doing so.

However the fansite is back after its long-term construction stage with its gallery and forum. So thank you to the creator of the fansite. its the only siddharth fansite i’ll ever resort too due to its awesomeness.

so the fansite basicaly has a new layout, an update gallery and forum finally (unless if it had one before i discovered this site).

For any siddharth fans that are out there, you should defiitely visit the forum :D and the site as well.

Kudos to the site’s creator for such an awesome site @_@.

Anyways that’s it for the last post, once again happy new year :D<3

and sorry for the horribly written entry… lmao. well i guess the holiday should give me a day off from writing formal and everything :p.

30 December 2009

To be frank,

studying my school stuff in the morning never works out for me; I can only study in the evenings, sadly.

‘Tis the season to be jolly: it’s xmas break :D.

So far I think I’ve been having a pretty decent break (not as decent as I want it to be but whatever). Last friday on the 25th, I spent an entire day at the Rems :D (aka Remya :D<33333 ). I guess the excitement mainly derives from our infrequent hangouts and the fact that she is indeed Remya :D. On Sunday, I had my failed shopping experience at Roosevelt Field mall. The after christmas sales created such immense busyness in all the stores there, congested with customers  that were either returning or purchasing items on clearance. So yah, I pretty much returned home from Roosevelt with my initial condition. Monday I had my first sip of the amazingly wonderful Pumpkin Spiced Latte from the one and only awesome Starbucks. I have to admit, for the past couple of days, or even weeks, almost all my money has been draining out to Starbucks. Yesterday I got to, I guess, hangout with the awesome Sylvia for a bit at main street :D. I think that basically sums up everything of the past week’s happenings.

In other news, I’m also into Bleach once again. laugh-out-loud.

I know I got over anime way back in middle school. However when Remya and I went nostalgic over our anime days, we ended up watching a couple episodes of Naruto and Bleach, the only two animes that I really watched. I cant’ really say Naruto caught my attention again but watching the first two episodes did get me thinking about how adorable Naruto is. On the other hand, Bleach got my attention from the just the first two episodes. I think it has to do with its frequent cilffhanger endings. Or maybe its just its mere storyline. Yesterday I reminded myself about Kon, Ichigo’s talking stuffed animal that happens to be a “modsoul”.

So today’s the 30th meaning a day before the final event of the year, new year’s eve. :D

I know my posts this year were kinda eh and dull but hopefully I can change all of that for the following year.

Until then,

btw, for 2010, do we say  ”twenty-ten” or “two-thousand and ten”?

To be frank,

I haven’t wrote in this blog for weeks. And so here I go :D.

Anyways it has been ages since I wrote anything here and nothing amazing like meeting Siddharth (:D) has happened.

Well now that I kinda mentioned Siddharth, I might as well extend on that. So yeah Oy! finally came out on dvd and I watched it. I think that was the first Siddharth movie that I watched where I stopped 25 minutes into the movie. D:

Honestly I think all the blame goes to the direction. Well not all but most. Something about it really lagged suffientially enough to bore me. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mind movies that lag a bit. I’m actually quite open to “laggy” movies. However, this one did a good job being pure boring. Sure Siddharth, as always, made laugh here and there. In addition, he was quite an “eye-candy”. Other than that, it’s a good movie to watch if you need to make you snooze :p. Most people compare Oy! with A Walk to Remember, another not so great movie, mainly because the basic story line of both movies are the same.  In my opinion, I think Oy! was better formated. Like, I like how the movie’s main point is on how Siddharth fulfills Shamili’s, his love of his life in the film, dreams before she passes away due her cancer.   A Walk to Remember didn’t really focus on that so much.  Either ways, Oy! is a waste of time. I think the only reason one would watch it is to see Shamili all grown up, or for my reason, SIDDHARTHHH :D. So yeah, I did skim the movie just see good parts just for Siddharth. xD.

So that’s about it for Siddharth.

Anyways, now that I am on the topic of movies lmao, I might as well extend on that as well :p.

So yeah I watched Clint Eastwood’s, Million Dollar Baby. To make my commentary on the film short, that movie’s ending was so freakin sad D:. Usually I watch movies at night so that if it ends sad, I can sleep right after watching it and rely on my sleep to make me forget about the ending. Thing is, last night I wasn’t able to watch the entire movie so I had to finish it this morning. So yeah, the ending made me a bit upset and queasy this entire morning. However, the movie was amazing and is definitely one of my favorites despite of that upsetting ending. Once again, Eastwood hasn’t failed me :p. The ending of that movie was so sad that it made me want to rewatch The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly so I can watch Tuco being awesome again to cheer me up :D.

So yeah.

School is okay for me. I wish I could do better though. A lot better. I guess school is my main stressor right now, unfortunately.

Aside from that, the holiday season has begun and xmas songs has taken over the radio (well not exactly :o). The season’s first snow took place today. It wasn’t much. You really can’t expect a mini billzard on the first day in NYC. Maybe if you up to buffalo but not NYC. I’m not so keen on whether or not I am getting people anything for xmas. I never really did for the past years.

That up there is a picture of bunnies invading some person’s room :D.

I think that is just super cool. Too bad having bunnies invading you’re room costs $45.00 :o.

http://www.whatisblik.com/shop/bunny-family-anomalies

^ that place is coolios.

sorry for the somewhat not so cohesive entry. i really had no idea on what to put here except a compilation of meaningless random thoughts.

To be frank,

I actually like lady gaga (: . It may sound late to say this but truth is, I’ve always carried this opinion since she became popular xD.

Anyways its been ages since I wrote an entry. As always.

Junior year is basically a year where we are truly burdened with tests, homework, and etc. This year is SAT year and I still have a lot to go to reach my goal grade: anything about 1850. The goal is low, I know but I can’t set something not reasonable as a goal. Anyways, this year I’m taking AP Chem, which pretty much consumes all my valuable time. Its pretty challenging so its definitely not a bullshit course. Def. not. However, because its a monster nom nomming all my time, the times I’d want to dedicate for SAT studying and any other studying are pretty much dead. I honestly need to start managing my time which means waking up super early on weekends, give up heaven-like sleeps, and commit to not having a life.

On top of that, I don’t have any time to practice piano which saddens me because I love the piano. To not practice it makes me feel all upset and not caring. Not caring because it poses as an impression that I’m not interested in playing it anymore ): .

Anyways I’m less than 2 years away from college life. I still haven’t decided on where I’m headed to in terms of college, career, & post-college life. But that’s okay. I have a year decide on two of them: college & career. At first (not sure if i mentioned it) I was thinking about pharmacy a lot. However, I have a hunch that I might end up liking physics and precalc a lot this year and even do well in them. Its not like I already started to have a huge bond with those subjects, especially physics. xD. But something inside me tells me that that will change. If I do end up liking those subjects, I might bend on the idea of becoming a (computer) engineer. Right now, I’m pretty ambiguous on all this future career stuff.

I do have a pretty cloudy sense of what colleges I might want to look at. One of the is SUNY Buffalo University. It’s great for undergrad school due to its cheap cost and decent education. If I do plan on doing pharmD them, I’m definitely trying to get into there. Im’ also look at Rutgers University. One of  its advantage is that its minutes away from cousins place so if I can, I can stay there. If I plan on engineering, I might consider Rutgers once again.

I haven’t researched much on engineering schools so yeah.Honestly, I’m in no rush to get into those really top universities for undergrad. However for graduate school, hopefully I can get into schools like UCC, CALtech or maybe even an ivy league :0. All those plans are ambiguous (and maybe even unrealistic) once again so yeah xD.

So anyways enough of school related stuff talk thing. I’ve been thinking about the places I want to go sometime near in the future.

One of them has to be Goa, India. It looks similar to kerala but its distinctive look compels me to go there.

Next I want to go to Nepal. I dunno what about it excites me. Maybe its oriental asian and indian cultural fusion. It kinda looks like that to me. So anyone who disagrees xD yeah I have no problem with that. I never been there or have been exposed to the culture.

Then I also want to Venice, Italy. That place is super pretty. period.

Anyways Imma call it off for today.

until then (:

To be frank,

this hopefully will be the last post on Siddharth for a while (at least ’til the release of Oye! or my vector which is slightly at idle mode).

I have watch pretty much all of Siddharth’s movies that have been released on DvD except for Aata.

All together, I can say his acting is pretty awesome mainly due to the way he portrays his character’s personality. Despite of the crappiness of the movie’s storyboard or the crappiness of the his co-actors’ acting, Siddharth has his way of making those movies watchable.

My favorite of them all would have to be Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana and Rang  de Basanti.

Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana is directed by the “Michael Jackson of India”, Prabhu Deva. The story itself is Cliche. It tells a tale of an NRI, who’s the son of a millionaire, that attends a wedding in India. Basically everyone in this wedding is a millionaire except for this one girl, who happens to be the bride’s closest friend, that lives the life of a farmer.  As the movie progresses, the NRI and the farmer girl fall in love however their love is rejected by both of their families due to background differences (money difference).

Siddharth plays as the NRI and he pretty much is portrays the characters as a bubbly, energetic, happy-go-lucky kind. I guess that’s probably the main aspect of why I love this much so much. The movie is watchable for the most part due to its endless humorous moments hidden all over. Aside from its comedy aspect, it’s also pretty cute (: .Even my dad thought it was a good movie. However, he fails to accept this as one of his favorites, or at least as an “awesome” movie.

Funny thing is that even he enjoyed Siddharth’s acting in this one.  His first movie of Siddharth was Rang de Basanti but he never heard of him at that time.  Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana was his second and I remember my dad asking me what was the actor’s (siddharth’s) name twice during the movie. I didn’t think watching this movie with him would mean recruiting a fan =D. xD. I’m not sure if I can call him a fan of Siddarth, especially since he’s extremely picky about what to consider as his favorites. However, I remember the following morning I saw my computer on with the internet browser open with history. On of the recent pages visited were youtube searches of “Siddharth Telugu Movies”. It was no other than my dad searching them since he was the last to use the computer. I mean I guess that moment was kinda epic since my dad is a huge critic and virtually nothing seems to suit his taste xD.

Rang de basanti was probably my most favorite Indian movie of all times now that I think about it. It had every aspect a good movie should have (which I’m to lazy to list) and at the same time wasn’t a cliche romance Indian movie. Since I’m pretty pretty lazy at the moment, I’m going cut and paste the part of the summary from Wikipedia(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rang_De_Basanti). (the rest of the summary basically spoils the film)

Struggling British filmmaker Sue McKinley (Alice Patten) comes across the diary of her grandfather, Mr. McKinley (Steven Mackintosh), who served as a jailer in the British Army during the Indian independence movement. Through the diary, she learns about the story of five freedom fighters who were active in the movement: Chandrasekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, Ashfaqulla Khan, and Ram Prasad Bismil. Having decided to make a film about them, Sue travels to India. With the help of her friend, Sonia (Soha Ali Khan), Sue initially casts four young men, Daljit “DJ” (Aamir Khan), Karan Singhania (Siddharth Narayan), Aslam (Kunal Kapoor) and Sukhi (Sharman Joshi), to portray as the revolutionaries.

Though they are not enthusiastic at the idea of acting in a film about the independence movement, Sue eventually manages to convince them. Laxman Pandey (Atul Kulkarni), a political party activist, joins the cast later, despite initially being unpopular due to his anti – Muslim beliefs and contempt for Aslam, a Muslim. In the process of filming, the idealism of India’s revolutionary heroes seeps into the protagonists. They gradually begin to realize that their own lives are quite similar to the characters they portray in Sue’s film and that the state of affairs that once plagued the revolutionaries continues to torment their generation.

Everyone in the film acting amazingly well. My favorite characters would have to be Karan, due to his somewhat reserved and confused attitude, and Sukhi due to his “bubblyness”. (:. Honestly if you haven’t watched the film, it’s definitely worth a watch, even if you aren’t Indian xD. The music, the direction, the storyboard are all awesome.

Honestly, all of Siddharth’s films that I’ve watched are wonderful. As biased as this may sound, some of them are awesome only because of Siddharth himself. His acting is watchable. Even Chukkallo Chandrudu which had “meh” storyboard was watchable and satisfied my likings. Of course it wasn’t my favorite but I definately wouldn’t mind watching it again (: .

The last movie I watch from him was his second movie, Aayutha Ezhuthu. It was pretty good, especially since it had my favorite actors (which I don’t have a lot of), Surya, Madhavan, Meera Jasmine and of course Siddharth. Plus it was a Mani Ratnam film; his direction is always excellent. However this wasn’t the most epic film. I’m not sure if it’s due to my lack of understanding of Indian Politics (since that’s what this movie revolved around) but I felt something was either missing or overdone.

His first movie, Boys, is another one that reaches my standards. I don’t highly recommend it but it’s worth watching. Story wise, it isn’t cliched (:. Basically it’s about 5 typical teenage boys who become a successful band after getting kick out from their homes. It’s a pretty cute movie and its fun to watch (:.

Then we have super cute Bommarillu. I don’t feel like elaborating on this one since I have already posted a huge entry on this one.

Lastly there is Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam. Siddharth, compared to his appearance in his earlier films, looks extremely different with his lengthy straightened  hair. This also is another well made film. I think this would land in the category of a “family film”. Once again, Siddharth plays as the bubbly, happy-go-lucky kid. In this movie however his parents are divorced and he and his girlfriend tries to get them back together.

In my opinion, one of the exciting parts of watching his films was his change of looks xD. I think Imma post a series of photos below in chronological order. xD

To be frank,

I don’t know what made me want to start off my entries lyke that (:.

Okay so I’m starting (ONCE AGAIN) to study for my drivers permit. xD oh god, now how many times was this a fail?

I mean gahh.. I wish this was rather exciting but no. Traffic controls. Parallel Parking. Blah blah blah. I just can’t wait for the actual experience of driving. I know I’ll freak out on my first drive in the expressway/highway. Ha but I’m the type that will get used to things quickly so that shouldn’t be much of a problem o_o.

Gahh my entries these days seem like fruits of laziness. aklsdfjaklsdf.

But that isn’t true. I think.

The only reason why I talk insignificant things like my boring summer, my boring summer, & my borings summer is because I DO in fact have a boring summer. I mean it’s probably not the worst out there compared to some other peoples’ but, when one compares my summer to the majoritys’, mine pretty much sucks.

Anyways, if my invisible readers have been following my dA, they probably already know about my new vector idea. I know finally -___-. So yeah I did get a vector idea and it should be quite palpable. Siddharth Narayan is my victim this time. (:

I mean he is so adorable, personality and appearance wise; vectoring him should be amusing xD. Thing is, I’m the type of person who NEVER finishes my vector pieces or any sort of projects. Pretty much all my vectors on dA are unfinished. Why? Pure laziness.

Anyways here’s the picture (its from the film : Konchem Istham Konchem Kastam).

I promise I’ll stop fan girling soon (yeah admit that’s my illness at the moment).

I wont be vectoring Tamina (the girl in the picture) most probably since this is a “Siddharth Vector”.

So far I get only 3 of the bazillion layers done. xD. Once again, I’m not sure if this is going to be a success. Like all my ideas, this one could easily end up burning up in some random fireplace.

Gahh I love this actor. He’s probably the only reason I watch these typical “bubbley” Indian movies.  It’s more than just him being Siddharth. His acting seems natural o_o not annoying like alot of Indian actors who act in cliche movies.

Anyways, besides studying and vectoring, I need to start learning Malayalam. I realized finally that it sucks that I suck at my parents native tongue so much. It’d be pretty cool if I’m bilingual anyways.

Anyways hopefully something productive will result from this tedious summer. (:

oh and this has the be the funniest clip of siddharth (its from his first movie “boys”)

he pretty much yells out : “Oh my Saving Goddess , come and save please” LOL

To be frank,

August is comming to its midterm. I’m not sure if the following should spark up some excitment but, school is about to make its arrival anytime soon *gasp*. But hey, on the happier note, it (seemingly) starts later than usual. Last year it started around September 2nd where as this year, it’s starting on September 9th. Usually school starts right after Labor Day, on a tuesday. Well this year, it does start after Labor Day just not right after. Instead its starting 2 days after Labor Day, a Wednesday.

Anyways, I’m still lamenting to go somewhere awesome this summer. Thus far, it hasn’t happen -____-*.  Well hopefully that will change once KENT ends, which its last day is on August 13th :D.

On a different note, I’m still addicted to Oy Oy (love at first sight, naalo kalige, love at first sight nannu kadipe  xD). Something about it is amazingly catchy. -___-.  If you wanna know what I’m talking about exactly, just check out the last post (which isn’t so great). Speaking of Siddarth, I finally watched one of his movies, Bommarillu. It was quite a “bubbley” movie if you asked me x]. At first I wasn’t so keen on the idea of it being good from the start of the movie. I thought the overall direction wasn’t bad but just annoying. However, as the movie progressed it got better xD (thank go- thank cookies!).

I can’t be certain that Bommarillu was one of my favorites but it definately was fun to watch! xD It was pretty cutsy, especially due to the story line. Pretty the movie tells a tale of a dude name Siddarth (lol same name as the actor) who struggles to live life they way he wants to due to his father. Siddarth pretty falls in love with this girl, Hasini, who happens to be a heck lot different (its the difference that attracted him lol). If I were to sum her up in a short amount of words it’d be that she’s a child at heart. She is this happy-go-lucky kid. However, his parents fail to accept her at first. Siddarth then assures them that that will change if Hasini could stay at their place for a week to prove his reason for loving her. xD Yeah cliche Indian movie but it was adorable so why not (like it)? I guess the part I like the most was Siddarth’s and Genelia D’Souza’s acting (Hasini).

Yes it’s telugu hence my necesity for subs during the movie xD.

Uh I watched another movie before that (indian again but not superly cliche cause it’s malu xD).

So yeah that one is called Vadakkunokkiyantram and it’s directed by the one and only Sreenivasan  =D. He also has a lead role. Double cool. Okay this movie pretty much a story of a man named Thalathil Dineshan who is super insecure about himself. He has super low self esteem due to his appearance (dark complexion and etc). He marries this girl Shoba who is portrayed as super pretty and yeah. So basically Dineshan gets paranoid over whether or not his wife loves enough or not. So he goes to all these attempts of changing himself from drinking to telling joke to try to see if his wife would get impressed. It’s quite a good movie but old. So yeah, not sure if the majority here would be interested, especially when its malu (malu has a different tone when it comes to film, except the more recent movies -’07and on)

Sreenivasan is just awesome. He’s freakin hilarious. =)

Okay now to do SAT hw =D.

OH OH OH btw: I has finally started volunteering.

e.d.i.t.s

I just realized that I freakin love Bommarillu; it’s way too cute to dislike one bit xD.

¿15.08.09 or 08.15.09?

To be frank,

I like the first one better than the second. It makes much more sense in terms of order but, Americans tend to make their own twist and turns on system. Like the system of writing down the dates, I also like the upside down question mark. Once again, its more logical. I mean the point of the the questions, exclamation, marks is to  let readers know how the sentence should be expressed. The upside down mark at the beginning of the sentence actually succeeds at that. And once again, America fails at that.

Well its been a heck of a while since I’ve posted anything on my wordpress. Why not make an entry now instead of waiting for junior to come by?

SAT class is coming to an end so horray to that. Overall, I thought it was okay. I guess it was helpful overall? Not sure how to comment on this xD? The classes were lengthy and the work was exorbitant. I personally like studying things bit by bit. However, with a 6 week limit, I don’t think teaching at a snail pace is gonna help. At the same time, teaching at a fast pace isn’t going to help me. But I think that is just plain me. (:

A few days ago I ran across this Telugu song that now has become my marijuana. Its so addicting (and soothing? I guess it relieves from all this SAT stress xDDD?) that I can’t predicate when in the future I will start calling this the song that belongs in the sanitation truck. And to display what I’m talking about, I’m going to post the video right here =D.

^btw the clip is bootleg (obviously) so some places are going to sound odd and out of tune. xD so don’t think that’s part of the song lmao^

I dunno but the video is as addicting as the song is. Maybe it’s the dancing? Or is the dude that’s dancing (:? Well his (real) name is Siddarth something. Yeah I fail at remember his last name. He’s super pretty. Yes pretty. Maybe I was tempted to use pretty cause he has slightly lengthy hair? And he’s freaking adorable, no doubts. Anyways yeah this song is freakin awesome. The weird thing is that I barely listen to Indian songs except for bhangra. Well here you have it: one of my exceptions. =)

And since I’m on the note of this movie, Oy!, did you know the main actress, Shamili, is malu, lyke me =D?! Even better, she was that girl who acted in the movie Pookkalam Varavayi. That was one of the gazillion movies she acted as a child and jesus she was adorable. In fact, her first movie that she acted as “not a child” (if that made any sense) was Oy!. Haha. Yeah for the vast majority of you people reading this, this isn’t quite exciting but it is for me (:.

Hmm on the topic of Indian stuff, I went to this Indian Fest thingie in Melvile. I thought it was going to be good, especially since there were a lot of white people there however, it was meh. I mean it was quite a big event. Lots of people. Lots of food. And a fair. Yet I felt that the programme was pretty eh. It was basically a cultural programm with a fair in celebration of India’s Independence. The only thing I like about it was my sister’s act, her bharatanatyam dance (she was pretty good, not saying that cause I’m her sister) and this other bharatanatyam dancer name Drasti I think. Apparently she has done performances at prominent places like the Lincoln Center. The series of performances overall weren’t put together well so yeah.
